The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid is unveiled in Los Angeles

The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid was unveiled at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, a few weeks after Kia unveiled the all-new generation of its compact Sportage SUV.  The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage is definitely one of the most impressive vehicles to be coming next year and the hybrid version will offer consumers a fuel-efficient alternative that doesn't require charging or any compromise on versatility or performance.

The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage will be powered by an electric hybrid powertrain which combines a 1.6 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 44-kW motor. This combination provides an impressive level of performance with 226 horsepower, which is more than the Toyota RAV4 hybrid. Better yet, the anticipated fuel consumption rating will be just 6 L per 100 km. The new Kia Sportage gets more interior space, and the hybrid version will offer this same level of versatility. In other words, you do not have to compromise on interior space to enjoy the benefits of the hybrid engine in the Kia Sportage.

 The powertrain will be paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox as opposed to a CVT transmission like we find in most hybrid vehicles. This should translate into more dynamic performance and more enjoyment on the road for the driver.
